ENVE Team wins 2016 BCWWA Student Design Competition

Congratulations to the winning team Aquatech Solutions for their exploration of using water treatment residuals to remove phosphorus by addition to wastewater.  The team consisted of (from left to right)student design team Trudy Miller, Danielle Gutwillinger, Matthew Waldie, Leah MacGillivray, Kelsey Baker and Travis Reid (missing from photo).   Their design project focused on the analysis of different types of phosphorus removal technologies including membrane filtration, ion exchange, natural filtration, reverse osmosis, natural filtration and water treatment residuals.  This is the third consecutive year our ENVE student team will have the opportunity to compete in the Water Environment Federation’s Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC) this fall.
